昨天生平第一次到了美国，一个充满争议的国家，我的入关经历一点都不愉悦。

一般来说，入关柜台前都有长长的队列，然后在队列的尽头，有一个人检查你填的表格，然后将你指派到不同的柜台，今天，在美国的海关，这个人是个四十多岁的中年华裔男，他拿过我的护照和表格，瞄了一眼，非常粗鲁和大声地说“你这里没填，你到边上去，填了再来”，我没填的部分是表格上可以撕下的半部分，上面重复了名字和国籍，粗体字印了“Department of Home land sesurity””Departure Repord”, 我一直以为那部分是海关填写的， so I explained “I don’t know it need to be filled” , and that man shout to me immediately “I am telling you ……” and point his finger to me, 老娘的火立即就上来的，我说”no , I am not going out and queue again , it is said ‘Department of homeland and security’ …….”那个人根本完全没听我在说什么，开始和边上东航的一个女人说话，大意是指责我， 并问我是不是她的人，不断的重复”you are a Chinese”甚至叫了警察过来，那个白人警察指着他手臂上的“Policeman”, 对我说”see”, 我说“I know you are a policeman, don’t try to scare me”, 这时候队列已经轮到我了，这个警察替我拿起行李，排到了一个柜台的后面，问我为什么不填，我说我以为你们填的，因为粗体字的关系，他说解释给我说，这个是订在你的Visa上的，我问那我现在写上可以么，他说没问题可以。

没想到这个华裔老男人和那个东航的男人走到我边上说” you are very rude”, I answered “you are much rude than me”,然后他就不断的说”you are Chinese, this is America” , for god’s sake, as if I don’t know it after I was treated like shit! And that man turn to the MU woman and keep say “she is rude, did you saw her expression , bla bla bla….”, I am standing in front of him and he keep saying it as if I am not a person, like a dog or cat. I am standing there, just want to cry.

我的同事Jean，菲律宾人，这时候排在我边上的柜台，asked me “Iris, are you ok, what are you arguing for”, 东航的女人这是注意到了她，跑去问她有没有Visa，拜托东航，我们买了商务舱的机票不是为了让你检查我们的，没有Visa，她怎么上的飞机？Again, when people have authority, they have to use it to make them feel so good!

After we got our luggage, Jean chat with me for a while, I said “Now, I know why people hates America”, She answered “they are so rude, and that woman, I thought she is Chinese, but she is rude as well” “Yes, you have the right to ask us but at least in a not rude way? I didn’t even ask for a polite way”

On the way to hotel, I can not help thinking what’s up. I told Candice about what happened and she said “In America, you need to be tough to gain respect”

For that Chinese-America guy , when he keep telling me “you are Chinese, you come to America ,,” I meant to say to him “ you are American, but unless you take off your skin , you are still different, not to me, to them!!!” Candice said it is racy and she hope I did not say it otherwise it will put me in trouble. But the funny thing is, when he keep saying “YOU ARE CHINESE”, 我分明感到了歧视！ So for America, it is bad to be race prejudice, but it is ok to be country prejudice!!!
